Our Meetings

  • Friday 21 August :  Outside Visit – 1.30pm the Museum of Scottish Fire Heritage, Dryden Terrace, Edinburgh. We will be greeted at 1.30 by a tour lead, given an introductory talk about the museum and then left to our own devices to explore. The museum is free entry, with a suggested donation of £3. We can have a meal before or after the museum visit.
    • Paid parking is available on Dryden Terrace and McDonald Road. Please use on street metered parking if you are travelling by car.  Download the RingGo app to pay for parking using your phone. Alternatively you can pay the parking meter using cash; the nearest machine is on McDonald Road.
    • Many buses go close including the 7, 10, 11, 16, 25, 36 and 49 but in all instances bear in mind the Fire on Princes St leads to ‘interesting’ detours and we are in peak Festival time.

Other than the outside August trip, our meetings are held in Murrayfield Parish Church (Upper Hall), Ormidale Terrace, Edinburgh EH12 6EQ. We meet at 7.30 pm on the second Friday of each month from March to December.

The majority of meetings feature a presentation by a Club member or an invited guest on a postcard theme from the speaker’s own collection. We also usually include one meeting where all members can bring a small selection of postcards to display. Most meetings include a social break with tea, coffee and biscuits, as well as the opportunity to browse through and purchase some postcards, and a raffle. Friends of members, and members of other postcard clubs, will always be made welcome.

What you missed

Friday 13 March 2026:  Wine, Women & Song – Our President’s display kicked off our season in good form with a presentation of fine vintage cards including some classic photos of women wearing the spectacles of yesteryear.
